Aruba is a tiny Dutch Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela. It has dry, sunny weather, blond beaches and gentle surf with constant trade winds that bring cool breezes and cause the divi-divi trees to slope southwesterly.  Pos Chiquito (also known as Pos Chikito) is a small village on the southwestern coast of Aruba well known for its snorkeling and scuba diving attractions, as well as other underwater activities.

Aruba Currency

Aruba's currency is known as the florin, but United States dollars are widely accepted. Florin's are represented by the letters 'Awg' or more commonly seen 'Afl'. The official rate at which banks accept US dollar banknotes is around Awg. 1.77. The rate of exchange granted by shops and hotels ranges from Awg. 1.75 - 1.80 per US dollar.

Car Rental

You’ll find car rental agencies located inside the airport. There are also off-premise companies who will pick you up and transport you to their site. Save time and money by making an advance reservation and start enjoying your vacation sooner.

Motorcycle and Scooter Rental

Many visitors enjoy traveling around the island by small scooter or motorcycle. It's an excellent way to see the island's more remote areas and famous scenery. 

Public Transportation

Arubus N.V. is the major public transportation of Aruba . Arubus provides public transportation over major areas of the island. The main bus station is across from the Cruise Terminal. A single bus trip costs 4.50 florins or $2.50 USD. 


Aruba offers a number of taxi services. Prices are based on distance with a maximum capacity of 5 passengers per taxi. The minimum fare is Afl. 10.00/$6.00USD.
