Nice home right on the beach with beautiful views of the sunsets. Home is fully furnished with great amenities. Every day started with morning coffee on the patio overlooking the ocean. Within walking distance to great restaurant on the water.

We enjoyed our stay at your home. Had everything that we needed. The hidden beach across the street with great swimming and snorkeling. While my husband and I were snorkeling we seen all the beautiful colored fish, an octopus, eel and found a conch shell wth crab living in it. We really enjoyed this! The view was beautiful and enjoyed our mornings sitting on the front patio and then later watching sun go down. Thank you for the use of your home and hope to return. Vicki and Jim

We enjoyed our stay at your beachfront home. From the swimming across the street, coffee on the deck in the morning and watching the pelican in the cove. The Super Store had great products, especially the desserts and meats. We really liked Baby Beach – much less crowed than Eagle and Palm beaches. Lunch at the Lighthouse was wonderful and the sights amazing. The Driftwood was also a great place to eat. But we saved the best for last – the Flying Fishbone Restaurant. It was unique with your feet in the sand or water. Spectacular views and great food! A memorable last night in Aruba.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is right on the beach at the best snorkeling spot in Aruba, and away from the tourist area. Debbie and Steve were fantastic to work with. The house has great amenities and is well stocked with everything you need. We are a family of five with 3 children, and the house was perfect for us. We will definitely stay here again when our travels bring us back to Aruba.

Our stay in Pos Chiquito...@ Deb & Steve's. How can you beat walking across the street with your chair and having coffee every morning by the ocean!! The four of us had such a good time! Walking 2 minutes with our chairs to our little hideaway to swim....our little neighborhood bar down the street...Momma, the bartender/owner & everyone so friendly & kind. Everything you need was @ the house....beach chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers, beach towels, grill......& ac. Sunsets over the ocean & sunrise behind us in morning! My sister stayed in a villa 4 minutes down the road huge house, olympic size pool, 7 rooms, 7 baths...very nice....wouldn't have traded for anything!! Although very close to ocean...needed to go upstairs in bedroom to see the ocean..........I only looked out the slider!!! We our saving our money....going back in 2 years......to Debbie & Steve's house........amazing spot..with everything you need!!! Bj...

This place was perfect for us! We had four adults and 3 small children and we had plenty of space. The house was in a great location, central to the rest of the island. The snorkeling was amazing right in front of the house. The house came well equipped with everything we needed! Snorkel gear, life vests, water shoes, beach towels, cooking supplies, grilling kit, the list goes on and on! We were also very thankful for the air conditioning and the hot water (hot water not typical in house rentals). We were also very thankful for the washer and dryer. The owners could not have been more hospitable. You can tell that they take such pride in the "home" they have created for their guests. We could not have had a better experience! Thank you!

We have stayed three weeks in the high rise/low rise strip on two previous visits and this has distinct advantages. At not many other places can you simply walk out the front door to a unique beach and an excellent snorkling spot. It's interesting to be imersed in the "real Aruba" away from the hotel strip, but yet with some excellent restaurants directly on the water close by. We liked Marina Pirata, The Flying Fishbone, and Zeerover's... super ambience, great food, and relaxing. The house is very well stocked and comfortable. Debbie and Steve were very helpfull and attentive to our stay, thier written advice and house hints was useful and much appreciated. We had a wonderful stay there.

Our family - Mom/Dad/Grandma/Gpa/12 yr old dughter/10 yr old son had a great time here. The house was plenty big for the 6 of us. Location was great. Mangel Halto had great snorkeling right in front of the house. The kids go go several time a day and come right back to the house and shower on the outside shower. Large front porch was great to sit and relax and enjoy the view. The hammock on the front porch was a favorite. Easy to get everywhere from here with a short drive, but away from the crowded downtown and hotel areas.

This was our second time @ Deb and Steve's vacation house, we love coming back there. It's the best location and wonderful beach right across the house. Our family loved to snorkel, swim and fish. There's full kitchen,we cooked fresh caught fish, we loved to eat also at local restaurants like Marina pirate and Lagrangia. The house is very good equipped with three bedrooms, nice kitchen, and a family room. Our family of six were nice fitted. We'll be back again, thank you Deb@Steve

My 4 year old and 1 year old loved this house-- plenty of room for them to run/dance around, explore, and nap in peace in the afternoon. And of course, our "pet" pelican Nigel that hangs around the Mangel Halto beach. Marie was able to babysit our kids (at a very reasonable rate) when we needed some couple time, e.g., snorkeling. We very much enjoyed the drift snorkel route recommended by Debbie and Steve-- saw massive schools of fish, a ton of fire coral and quite a few eels. We also appreciated the water pressure in the showers, quiet zoned AC's in every room (including the bathrooms!), various board and card games, and all the other thoughtful amenities that this house has to offer. Thank you Debbie!

We just returned from our first trip to Aruba and thanks to Debbie and Steve's house and hospitality, we can't wait to go back. We always rent houses when we travel in the states, but this was our first time to travel abroad and we decided to take a chance on a house. It was perfect for our family! We like peace and quite, natural beauty and feeling at home. This was it. We visited several natural attractions, like Baby Beach, the Light House, the Church, the Ostrich Farm and the Ruins on the northern bluffs. They were fun to see and it was great to feel apart of the culture, but our true passions were right at the house snorkeling and sunning. Couldn't ask for more. The house was very well maintained and had a lot of features that I wasn't expecting it to have. Thanks again Steve and Debbie!

Mrs. Debbie and Mr. Steve, Thank you so very much for allowing us to stay at your Aruba home. We enjoyed the porch both in the mornings and evenings, but we were busy during the days! For most of us, it was our first time here in Aruba and we didn't want to miss a thing! From the ruins to the lighthouse to snorkeling just outside, we truly feel like we got an all-around Aruba experience. Your friendship with Izaira and her family is a true testament to your every-giving and loving character. Dinner at Barefoot wasn't half-bad, either! ;) Thank you once again for sharing your slice of paradise with us! Jess, Danielle, Nate, Mike, Whitney, and Matt

both areas out of the water. If you are looking to get away from it all then this is the place to be. This house is located a stones throw away from one best beaches on the island, Mangel Halto which is the best spot to snorkel on the island. There is reason why all the snorkeling and diving excursion come to this beach. The water is crystal clear and there is an abundance of sea life. The house itself has 3 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and one of the bathrooms has a washer and dryer. There is a large family room/dinning room, and a large kitchen as well. Also there is front porch where we spent hours just hang out enjoying the amazing view and there is also large back patio where you can BBQ. The house is fully furnished with everything you could possibly want or need. All you have to do is pack a bathing suit and you are good to go. The owners Debbie and Steve are pleasure to deal with very responsive and they have gone above and beyond to make this place wonderful experience for their guest. I have been to Aruba many times and I have seen all the beaches and attractions and my favorite spot on the island hands down is the hammock on front porch. If you are looking for your own slice of paradise then this is it. I highly recommend this place I will be back here as soon as I can. P.S. Zeerovers - A quick drive down the road, best place on the island for seafood. Laid back atmosphere, really fresh seafood, cold beer, and super cheap. We ate there twice it was so good.

We had a group of 6 adults. Each couple had a private bed & bath. We quickly learned that Manguel Halto in Pos Chiquitos was the best spot on the island. We had steps right in front of the house that led to a sitting dock, along with stairs right into the gorgeous water for the best snorkeling on the island. There was also a sandy spot in the shade under the mangrove trees to sit with your beach chair and a book while your toes were in the water. And a drink of course! The house is located close to the Balashi Brewery so that you can go there for lunch and take all of your bottles back for recycling. It is a great feeling to share beers with the locals! Zeerover's and the Flying Fish Bone are also on the same side of town so that you don't have to sit in traffic and look for parking next to the resorts. Such an amazing experience, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!

Spent a week in January 2015. Four adults three kids. What a great place to stay. Beach across the street. Calm water for young kids. You almost have beach to your self. One of the best snorkeling spot in Aruba. The mangrows across the street is a nursery for young fish. Young kid can snorkel in waste deep water and see al kind of fish. Once I showed her the fish and she was comfortable with her face in the water she loved it. There are masks, fins and snorkels in the house. The house is clean and well stocked. Plenty of room for all. Air conditioning if you need it. The porch out front was great for watching sun sets. Barbecue on front porch if you like. Grocery stores close. Every kind of food you could want. If your are looking for a great vacation , low key and just plain fun this is the place for you. We love Aruba , we have been 3 time and will be back again. Debbie was great to work with.

Our first trip to Aruba was in February 2014 and we stayed at Debbie and Steve's, and we loved it so much that we went back another year! We had a family of five adults and the space worked perfectly for us. The accommodations were very comfortable, but we ended up spending most of our time outside! We loved the porch and spent countless hours reading, relaxing in the hammock, eating meals, and playing games all from the porch with a beautiful ocean view. The beautiful, calm water immediately out front is great for swimming, and there is some great snorkeling a little farther out. We did Aruba Sunrise tours which I would highly recommend to see the natural pool without the crowds. We also loved Flying fishbone and Marina Piirata for dinner. We prepared most of our other meals ourselves in the equipped kitchen. There were numerous grocery stores within a 5-10 min drive from the house. I would highly recommend staying at this gem!

We had plenty of room for the four adults in our group. We've been to Aruba several times, usually staying in the high-rise hotel area; but this time we decided to try a VRBO property. Best decision! Nice property, exactly as described. Well stocked with anything you might need/want. Great view from the deck. Good snorkeling. Helpful tips from the owners, especially for Aruba Bob's Snorkel trips, ZeeRover's and Marina Pirata. The booking and checkin process were easy. We would definitely like to stay at this property again....highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at Debbie and Steve's house in Aruba. This was our first VRBO experience and my husband was a little nervous - but he loved every second and wants to return as soon as we can. We loved being across from such excellent snorkeling - we snorkeled 2-3 times every day. We have 2 boys (ages 10 and 12) and the snorkeling in front of the house was just perfect for them. We loved exploring the island and cooking fresh fish. We drove around the island (completely) several times, enjoyed the national park, Philips Animal Sanctuary, donkey sanctuary, renting UTVs (from Georges) and getting to know the island. We snorkeled at several beaches, but the beach in front of our house was definitely our favorite. The house was great for us - more room than we needed really. Debbie and Steve have every thing you need - my boys really enjoyed the selection of board games. The kitchen is very well stocked and we cooked most of our meals (fresh fish is readily available!). Everything was clean and in good order. We loved being in the "real" Aruba instead of the hotel high-rise area. We felt safe in the house - the neighborhood was loud one night (Flag Day - the Arubian holiday). The locals were very nice and helpful (including pointing out the sea snakes...which they are not afraid of at all!). We can't wait to go back - and will definitely return to stay at Debbie and Steve's.

We had a great time in Aruba. The house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation in Aruba .Snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler bag water shoes in all sizes ,and a bender for your cool refreshing drinks! We enjoyed eating out at the Zeerover restaurant close by the house. We loved Ricardo's on the beach by Mathews . Spendy but well worth every dollar. Happy hour is from 4 to 6 and its buy a drink get a drink , the dirty banana was like having the best milkshake ever. The lamb shops were excellent as well as the coconut scallops. My son loved the fact that you could rent ATV's and ride them on the main roads.

We just returned from our first visit to Aruba and we are ready to go back already! The first week we stayed at the Marriott for a business reward trip and the second week was spent with our family in Debbie and Steve's wonderful home on the quiet part of the island. Their large home (3 bedrooms, 3 baths) is close enough to visit all the attractions and airport, but also away from the tourists and craziness of the high-rise and downtown areas. We went out for dinner every night and the seafood is amazing! Our favorites were Marina Pirata (very close to the house), Pinchos Bar & Grill, Flying Fishbone (wonderful atmosphere), and even had great fun and food at Iguana Joes! Everyday was an adventure! We are scuba divers - so we went on many dives and many snorkeling trips. There is great snorkeling and even a wreck directly in front of the house at the edge of the reef (Mangel Halto). It was so much fun to jump in our van and explore the different parts of the island each day. We really enjoyed the caves. The roads are not well marked, but after a few days of exploring, the island became pretty easy to navigate. One of our favorite excursions was a snorkel cruise (The Dolphin) located in front of the Hyatt. For $40/person we snorkeled at the Antilles Shipwreck and Boca Catalina reef. We saw an eel, octopus, starfish, and thousands of fish. They opened the bar early and served fruit and sandwiches. It was great fun with a slide off the back of the sailboat and a rope swing in front! We also all got free I Love Aruba T-Shirts! We found the locals on the island to be very polite, friendly, and welcoming! We absolutely loved the front porch of the house, and spent every morning and evening enjoying the views! Another bonus to visiting Aruba is that US Customs is located in Aruba. No long waits in Miami, Orlando, or Atlanta fighting the US Customs lines. Once you leave the island, your suitcases are sent directly to your home destination! All in all, this was our best family vacation yet! Thanks so much to Debbie and Steve for letting us enjoy your home in Paradise!

We just got back from our 1st visit to Aruba. We were a Family of 8 ranging from 2 yrs-83 yrs old. We had a great time. This house is great-spacious ,fully- equipped with all your vacation needs and perfect location centrally located on the island. We think our beach was the best-very unique in the mangroves and private. We had excellent meals at Maria Piratas(down the street),Zeerovers(fun local hangout),B-55s,Papiamentos(expensive) and La Grandja(cheap family style). The homemade ice cream is yummy at The House of Cakes. Barracuda was delicious and we grilled Mahi Mahi at home.We went to Baby Beach and Eagle Beach but they were too crowded for us. We went to the caves in the National Park ,hiked the Hooiberg and had the best time snorkeling with SeaBobs-Highly recommend this-they will pick you up at The Ritz. I recommend not renting from Avis-they didn't have a van for us that was reserved and confirmed and they were very rude .Don't take any valuables or keep them with you at all times. No good Souvenir shopping but most of the Arubans are very friendly and speak an assortment of languages. Marie is very sweet and Debbie is very helpful with information. I would recommend taking a road map-streets aren't well marked. I got a good one on Amazon. This is a great house to stay .We were so thankful we didn't stay in the high or low rise area-very congested. Thanks Debbie and Steve for opening up your beautiful home to us. The Phillips Gang

Our first trip to Aruba could not have been better. We wanted to be away from the hotel area and this location was great. We really enjoyed meeting the local people. The owners of this house make sure that everything you need is there and they respond quickly. We were very comfortable and felt safe all the time. The view from this house is to die for, every day was perfect. We will definitely go back to Aruba again.

We loved this house, especially the view from the front porch where we enjoyed morning coffee or a glass of wine as we watched the sunset! The location was convenient to everything, about 20 minutes from the airport. Across the street is a lovely beach where we spent many relaxing hours, but we also loved Baby Beach and hiking in the national park. The house is large and comfortable with wireless, cable TV, snorkeling and beach equipment. Several grocery stores nearby. We were there during week of New year's 2014 and I would suggest dinner reservations-we loved the Flying Fishbone, El Gaucho's, Madame Janette's and Marina Pirata. We also cooked local seafood which was very good. The owners were wonderful as was Marie who cleaned the house.

This was our first trip to Aruba and this house did not disappoint. The central location on the island is perfect for getting around anywhere you would like to go, and the snorkeling at Mangel Halto Beach is the best on the island. We bought lots of fresh fish at the Centro Di Pesca at the end of the road and cooked at the house almost every night. It was really nice staying in a local neighborhood instead of the Las Vegas style atmosphere of the hi-rise hotel district. We even had our own private little beach just five steps down the cliff across the street. Debbie and Steve, thank you for your hospitality and expeditious responses to our inquiries. We got a lot of use out of the beach chairs you provided. We would highly recommend this house for those who would like a relaxing vacation in paradise.

This was our first time visiting Aruba. We arrived at the house about an hour after landing and immediately felt like we were home. First we explored the house and chose our bedrooms, all with private bathrooms which was a big plus. Everything we could possibly need was there. The housekeeper stopped by shortly after our arrival and helped to acclamate us to where things were. She was very sweet and helpful. We walked across the road and down to the beach and stayed there until the sun set. Our first night we went to the Marina Pirata Restaurant down the road and each had an extarordinary meal. My husband loves Conch and said his was the best he had ever tasted. Sheila was our waitress and went out of her way to create a special sauce for our friend. We also visited 2 other restaurants which included Flying Fishbone & Madame Jeanette's. The meals at the other two restaurants were tasty and the atmosphere very nice but Marina Pirata gets AAA+ for the food. The beach across the road was great for snorkeling and sunbathing. Baby Beach was another great snorkeling & swimming beach. Eagle Beach and the beach located by the California Lighthouse were also beautiful. The white sand and crystal clear blue water just made us so relaxed. We arrived at the beaches around 9:30 AM and stayed until around 3 PM and when we arrived back to the house we were all so relaxed we didn't want to leave. We cooked on the grill the other nights and just had amazing relaxing meals on the front porch watching the sun set over the ocean. One night we went into the main town and explored the shops and ate at Iguana Joe's and listened to great music. My husband, brother and another friend found a nice, little bar in Saveneta named Charlie's and they learned lot of history about the island from Charlie, the owner. All three couples have agreed they would like to go back next year but think we should go for 2 weeks. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was absolutely amazing.

There were six in our party and I can honestly say this was the best vacation I have ever had. The view is spectacular. The house had everything anyone would ever need. After staying at a few all inclusives and in hotels for vacation on other islands, I must say that renting this house on this island with our friends was the smartest and most enjoyable move we could have ever made. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living/dining area was excellent. The location of the house is smack dab in the middle of the island coast so if you want to go somewhere other than the lagoon(which was beautiful and convenient) like Baby Beach or to the hotel/casino area, you are no more than 20 minutes away in either direction. We spent quite a bit if time in the lagoon in the beach chairs that are provided, brought down a cooler of adult beverages, and relaxed only steps away from the house right in the crystal clear water. Good restaurants include Marina Pirata, which is right down the street, Flying Fishbone for dinner right on or even IN the water, and Zee Rover for lunch that you can literally see being hauled in off a boat before its cooked right in front of you. We enjoyed renting the 4 wheelers (you definitely need 8 hours to see most of the island). We also had a great time on our charter fishing boat "The Teaser" where we caught 5 fresh fish inside 4 hours. Shopping in the hotel area was fun for the wives as well, although the husbands didn't make out so well at the casino. Surprisingly we didn't eat out as much as we thought we would due the the great accommodations in the kitchen. We made great use of the charcoal grill at the house most nights. At the end of a day it was refreshing to know we didn't have to eat out if we didn't want to. We highly recommend Adolf at U-save for your transportation rental, and Ling & Son or Price Smart for your grocery and alcohol purchases. At night we enjoyed siting on the front porch looking at the water and kicking back in the chairs or the hammock. I really cannot say enough about how relaxing and refreshing it was to spend our hard earned vacation time in this beautiful island home. I would like to invite anyone reading this review to contact the owners and ask for our contact info if you would like to hear more from us personally about this spectacular property. I can safely say that although this was our first trip to Aruba, it will definitely not be our last, and I can not imagine staying anywhere else but right here.

This was our second time going to Aruba and the second time that we stayed at this wonderful place. I submitted a review last year titled Aruba Disney....NOT! The house without question is a wonderful place to stay. It is a home away from home. It has everything that you want. The place is clean and well kept. I wish I could call it my own which I did for a week. Steve and Debbie are easy to get in touch with if there is a problem. Debbie even left a voice mail on the home phone making sure everything was OK. The place sleeps 8 very easy. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. The boys slept in the main living area on a day bed and an air mattress. Adults and the girls each had a bed room. Enough about the house, If you have never been to Aruba, you need to go. Not only do you need to go but you need to stay away from the High rises and low rises and experience the true Aruba. One of the couples mentioned to me when we went up to the tourist section that this place really is two countries in itself. The north end (tourist) has all that traffic, expensive restaurants and just to Americanized. Go to Florida if you want this. Now if you want to see what Aruba is like and experience the people that live in Aruba, this is the place to stay. If this house is not located then somewhere near. There are great restaurants at reasonable prices in Savaneta. Just south of the house, you need to check out Zeerovers. Our group ate all the fish, shrimp, fries, bananas for $70 and beers were $2 each. Also in Savaneta there is La Granja. We bought two whole chickens for $20. They also have huge portions of side items. Further south in San Nicolas heading to baby beach we found a bakery next to the polis station that is open till Noon. Wife and I were the only locals there. I bought breakfast items for $12 for the eight of us. And finally the best place to eat on that side of the island. Costa Riba by far was great. I had curry duck on Wed and Read Snapper on Friday. The snapper was only $20. Most people think Aruba is too expensive. Don't get me wrong, flying a family of 4 down there is the biggest $$$$. But once you get there, rent a house eat at the local establishment, enjoy the free beaches and soak up the culture. Steve and Debbie, you have a great place, we cannot make it in 2013 but we are shooting for 2014. We will be staying at your place. Thanks for sharing your house and a little piece of Aruba with us.

Pinch yourself! You have arrived at one of the most relaxing spots on the island of Aruba. Pull up a chair, prop up your barefeet, sip a pina colada, balashi, wine or iced tea on your front porch as you watch the sun set each evening. This home is so comfortable, ideally laid out and clean as a pin. In the morning, you can sit on the front porch and watch the two Iguanas (George and Ringo) sunning in the cactus. Everything you need to hop across the street to your beach is provided (chairs, wade shoes, snorkel equipment, boogy board). The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. There is a grocery store one block away, Marina Pirata resturant with dining on the deck is 5 mins. away. You will need a car or some mode of transportation to get into town for the night time fun and casino action. This was our second time to stay here and we have reserved for 2013. This is a great location for families with young children wanting to play in the sand, collect sea shells and wade in the water. Mangel Halto (beach across the street) is virtually yours during the week. The kitchen is fully equipped and you have a washer and dryer. It is difficult to list all the great resturants there are so many. Places worth trying: Salt & Pepper, Wacky Wahoo, Driftwood, Buccaneer, Fishes & More. NO MATTER WHAT YOU MUST TRY THE FISH EVERYWHERE. The fish is caught each morning, the resturants prepare it each afternoon and evening. Disappointing resturant: Old Man and the Sea-breath taking view of the Caribbean, beautiful setting, very elegant but poor service and after sunset too dark to see your dinner. If you are truly looking to relax with no agenda then open the gate to paradise.

This house is right in the middle if the island, which is perfect. It is away from the high rise area and most of the traffic. There is alot of space in the house. The location, which is right across the street from the beach, is perfect. We spent most of out time sitting in the water and enjoying the sun, the blue water and sunshine. Every morning I enjoyed coffee while looking at the sea. The is a healthly group of locals that come every morning to do the same. It is really nice to see the families at sunset enjoying the water and each other. The island has something for everyone. We love the wide places, which are found on the far north and south ends of the island. Baby beach is over rated better snorkeling right out front. Our biggest complaint about Aruba is the traffic, oh well. If you want a great house with a quite area and great beach and veiw this is the house.

and teenage granddaughters (17 and 19) and we had a great time! The house is wonderful for a group our size. The bedrooms are good size, the beds very comfortable, and the common areas fantastic! And anything you might need is right there--fins, snorkels, masks, water shoes, towels, rafts, coolers--they have thought of everything! We were a little concerned about the beach being across the street (hoping it wasn't a major highway), but it's a small street and easy to cross. And the view from the front porch is gorgeous! If you arrive on a Sunday s we did, know that you won't be able to go to the grocery store because pretty much everything is closed. So I'd recommend arriving on Saturday. We used the grill a lot and it was great. Also, I would recommend a car--there's so much to see on the island! All in all, a fantastic time. Wish we were still there!

My wife and I and another couple stayed at Steve and Deb’s Aruba beach house for a week. The house is very convenient for a large group of people because there are three bedrooms, three bathrooms and several couches. Steve and Deb’s house includes snorkel gear, water shoes, beach chairs, coolers, fully supplied kitchen and many other amenities. The house is located next to the best snorkel spot on the island the Mangel Halto Beach/Reef. Marana Pirata is a really good restaurant to walk to, and there is a convenience store located several blocks behind the house. However, to experience most of Aruba’s restaurants and beaches you will need to rent a car or taxi or take a bus. We enjoyed being off the beaten path and recommend this beach house for anybody who would enjoy a unique experience as opposed to staying in the high rise area.

If you want to fly to another country and stay in American style hotel/condo/resort and eat American fast food then this is NOT the place. If you are looking for the way Aruba was before the high rise and low rise hotel were there; then this is the place. You are dropped in the middle where the locals are. This place rocks!!!! You are directly across from a lagoon and the best kept secret beach on the island. Local dive operators come out to the place daily to take students and divers. I did not scuba dive but I will next time but we snorkel 3 hours a day and love it. You drop in at the beach and the current will take you down 300 to 400 yards and you can get out at a set of steps and walk back and do it all over. This is your back yard if you stay at the place. The house has everything you need. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and we never felt like we were crowded. The place has 3 bedrooms. The beds sleep great. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed. The air condition works in all 3 rooms and living room. The place had mask, fins and snorkel to play in your own private lagoon;)). When we were not in the water, the adults stayed out front on the porch. One of the best views in Aruba and I had it for a week. We had breakfast and lunch out there every day we were at home. The view is beautiful. The water is so blue. My wife wants jewelry that color blue/green now. Just to remind her of the place. Remember if you are looking for a Aruba Disney....This place is not for you. But if you want to experience Aruba the way it should be, I would try this place. Live a little and experience a lot!!!!

This was the perfect choice for me and my family. At first I thought that living in a neighborhood with barking dogs and crowing roosters was going to be a negative, but it turned out to be a really positive part of our experience. By the end we felt like natives and proudly flew the Aruban flag on our car for flag day. You'll want to rent a car but it's so easy to get around Aruba. We went to every beach and every great restaurant. But the snorkeling right across the street is the best! Besides a zillion fish and a huge variety of coral we got to see a giant barracuda and an octopus protecting its lunch. The house had everything we needed. Would highly recommend it for folks who, like us, prefer and authentic experience rather than just some resort.

We can not say enough good about this home and location. Three couples stayed all week and never felt crowded at all. We spent everyday walking to the beach to layout, snorkel, nap, etc. etc. This is like having your own private beach every day of the week. The snorkeling is amazing. We drove to Baby Beach just to check it out, and althogh it is worth the drive for sightseeing, if you want a snorkeling private beach you have it at GetAwayAruba!! This home provides you with all you need. Snorkeling gear in all sizes, plenty of beach towels, pull-behind insulated cooler and chairs for the beach, sun hats and not to mention all the items within the house itself. Very comfortable and affordable. The front patio view is amazing. Many hours were spent outside just sitting and watching the water. We will never do an all-inclusive again. Every night we would head downtown or to the high rise area and check out new restaurants and usually end up at the Crystal Casino. Everywhere we went was clean and safe and a great time. Would recommend this home to anyone wanting to relax and vacation at your own leisure. We will definetly be back!! Thank you Steve & Debbie!!!

This house is everything it was promised to be. We had a group of 6 adults (3 couples) and we all enjoyed the house. It was very comfortable and provided adequate privacy for us all. The bedrooms were all clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the front deck with an amazing view of the ocean and comfy table and chairs. The kitchen was very clean and everything was is good working order. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of water (the island has a desalination plant) and the fridge has the ice and water dispenser. Although we had trouble with the wi-fi on our personal devices, the house has a computer we were able to use and get all of the information we needed. The location of the house worked well for us, we loved the snorkling right across the street, the scuttled boat off our front door was a popular attraction for many snorklers. If I get the chance to get back to Aruba I would definitely stay here again.

Our first time here at getawayaruba, but the second time for the couple with us, Joan & Ron Marvel. It was everything that was described, and more! Debbie & Steve's home is in a quiet, beautiful location and furnished with everything you could want for the perfect Aruba vacation. The rental description and pictures are accurate. Nice beach and area for snorkeling just across the street. Sunsets from the front patio are awesome!

Where to begin. The house is absolutely gorgeous and whatever you may have needed- it was there. It is such a cozy house with a perfect location. You feel like you have stepped into your own house- books, movies, every appliance you can think of- you name it- it is in the house.- Steve and Deb thought of everything. It is right across from a beach and the snorkeling there is pretty good for shallow water. I consider the vacation with eight other women staying at this house my privilege. Aruba is absolutely gorgeous- quaint and plenty of beautiful beaches and fish. We considered everything just moments away since the island is so small. Baby Beach was my favorite- I saw a fishas big asmy head and torso- I felt my eyes get as big as silver dollars and my heart palpatating until I realized- okay he is a fish- enjoy the beauty and wonder- and I did. I could have snorkeled all day every day but compromises are to be made when there are 9 of you. We took a tour which went to several places and the Natural Pool is one of the most incredible things you could ever imagine- it was majestic. Our guide was a gem- sense of humor, very knowledgeable and hey if you can hang with 9 women- you have to be pretty good. "Downtown" is far from what we here call downtown. It too is small and quaint with places to shop and eat. The hotel district also has some great places to eat- I avoided the chain restaurants and went with local places and was never disappointed. We had three girls who stayed only 4 days and theydid NOT want to leave. Six of us have already put in for our vacation for the same week which was the last week in September- three did it when they got back and I did it on Jan 3. We cannot wait- when we see each other it is all we can talk about- what we did and what we wanto to do. Our motto was: "What Happens in Aruba Stays in Aruba" For the life of me I cannot remember the local beer they make in Aruba but my girls sucked it down like water- they thoroughly enjoyed it. The brewery is not far - nothing is really far when you are talking about a small island. We hated to see the week end and we were sad to leave but we all knew we would be coming back and now we know the lay of land- WATCH OUT ARUBA- A MAGNIFICENT SANCTUARY- whether you are out and about or at the gorgeous home of Steve and Deb's. I thank you for the opportunity to stay at your place and cannot wait until the end of September this year. VIVA ARUBA VIVA ARUBA VIVA ARUBA

Just got back from an all-girls week at Deb and Steve's place. The house and location were incredible with awesome views, spectacular sunsets and all the amenities anyone could possibly need. I particularly loved the double head shower. There were more than enough clean towels and linens, and the toiletry samples were a lovely added touch. I loved being off the beated track but close enough to drive easily to the restaurants, shops and beaches. Local fisherman fish right in front of the house, and we enjoyed talking to them and learning more about the island. Highly recommend the ABC tour to include the Natural Pool. It was a fantastic week, one I will never forget, and hopefully will have the opportunity to visit again.

We stayed in this house the first week of August. Awesome view and location!!! Away from tourists, near the locals (which we enjoyed). The house was very nice and comfy. Very thankful for the washer and dryer. Also, the air conditioner ;). We loved sitting out front enjoying our evening hanging out with each other. There were 4 adults and 2 kids so the house was perfect for us in size. The owners are great and very accomodating. It was very awesome to have access to the lagoon right across the street where you could enjoy wonderful snorkeling. Also, you get your own private cabana area. Very nice! We would definitely stay in the house again. Thanks so much to Steve & Debbie!at's this item about? What makes it interesting? Write a catchy description to grab your audience's attention...

If you want a fancy hotel where all your needs are provided for, where you can go out clubbing at night and walk to high-end shopping, this is not for you. If, however, you want a quiet place away from the spring break scene, where you can drink your coffee in a hammock and watch the ocean from your front porch, walk through mangrove trees to a secluded beach, and have a quiet nap in a comfortable home with all the amenities, then this is the one you want. If you'd rather grill your own fresh fish instead of eat a hotel buffet, then this is the one you want. If you'd rather sit with friends around the dinner table at sunset than go to a tourist restaurant with all the ocean liner passengers, then this is the one you want. The house is well-equipped by generous owners and is very comfortable. If you want have a nice place to spend your time and take care of your own needs (there are a few restaurants), then this is a great option. If you don't want to be far from the restaurants, etc., then there are plenty of resorts to choose from.

Despite the blizzard that greeted us upon our recent return from Aruba, our memories are keeping us (relatively) warm. This rental home has earned a rave review. Debbie and Steve clearly care about their home and guests and they have done everything possible to ensure a good experience. The house is spacious, clean, comfortable, well- maintained, and wonderfully equipped with all sorts of convenient and useful extras. The beach is just steps away and very user-friendly. After a couple of excursions to traffic-clogged Oranjestad, we were happy to escape the crowds and commercialism and remain close to home. We highly recommend the food and service at Amazing! and Old Man and the Sea in San Nicolas. Also suggest your drive along the rugged north coast and see the cave paintings in the National Park.

Wow! We just returned from a week at Getawayaruba. Three couples were very comfortable in the house. The neighborhood was safe and easy to get around. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee and sunset drinks/dinner. The house was so well equipped with everything needed for cooking and enjoying the beach. Even a cell phone and computer to contact home were available. We enjoyed the island jeep tour with ABC tours, the Jolly Pirate snorkel trip, baby beach, and the almost private beach across the street. We ate at the Flying Fishbone, Texas de Brazil, and Marina Pirata but then found Benchi's fish market and had the freshest fish right at home on the patio for a fraction of the price. We are already planning to return. After visiting Palm Beach and the high-rise area, we all said that Getawayaruba was so much nicer! If a relaxing, quiet, private beach vacation is what you are looking for, look no farther!

Couldn't have asked for anything better for our family vacation than this wonderful location. The house is fabulous, but the beach across the road is beyond words. The kids, who are 12 and 8, practically lived with snorkel gear on (graciously provided by Deb & Steve along with all kinds of other beach gear)! The calm, shallow beach waters were perfect for our 5 yr old to play. We drove by the Palm and Eagle beaches over in the high rise area, and while the beaches were beautiful, I would never trade them for the quiet, almost private, beach across the street. We almost always had the beach entirely to ourselves! It was truly a home away from home. It also provides a great view of the true Arubans and their way of life since it is out of the commercialized hotel/casino area. I would definitely stay in this exact place again and would recommend it to anyone.

I researched different places before booking our rental in Aruba. This getawayaruba home far exceeded our expectations! The home is in an excellent location; quiet, beautiful beach and water just across the road, and the sunsets each night from the front patio are just fabulous! Debbie & Steve have furnished their home with everything anyone could ever want or need for the perfect vacation. We swam and snorkeled "out front" and also by having a rental car, we were able to snorkel beaches along the West coast as well. We wanted to eat the local flavor of Aruba, so our favorites were Marina Pirata, Maranda, Pincho's Grill & Bar, and Nos Cunucu. You can't go wrong renting this beautiful home! We definitely would go back.

How many different ways can you say "PARADISE"!!!!How many of us have looked at vacation brochures and websites and seen wonderful looking vacation spots; only to get there and wonder what camera took those pictures? Well I'm here to tell you that there is not one picture on this website that I have not personally seen through my own eyes. Every time I looked out the front window in the morning, slid open those patio doors to expose the whole front of the house, to the beautiful view, it took my breath away. A calm breeze was always present but I would never describe it as windy like the other end of the island can be.The place is very roomy and I never once felt like we were on top of each other. What a treat for everyone to have their own room and full bath. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset each and every night from our very own "Happy Hour" location, right on the front porch. The one exception was the one we enjoyed after a short walk to the end of the street for dinner at wonderful small restaurant right on the water. Every day was spent sitting, on what we thought, was our own private beach. We snorkeled, read, had a few cocktails and then repeated...Because I'm limited to "up to 3000 characters" I won't be able to tell you all that I experienced, but I do not hesitate to say it is impossible for you to be disappointed when you stay at this property. Make sure you arrange to have dinner at the "Flying Fishbone" and "The Driftwood".This is definitely is a do over and over and over again location. I can’t wait to return.

WOW! What a place! There was not a bad beach or restaurant on the island. Baby Beach & Arashi were great for snorkeling(along with "right out front"). The Flying Fishbone, Marina Pirata, & B55 to name a few were our picks for eating. All were great. From the Rocky North Shore to the Beaches, it will be a place to come back to.......

What a great place, both the house & the island. This was our 1st visit here & all agreed we would come back. B55 was a great "find" to eat. Great snorkeling right out the front door. We'll look forward to our next trip back.

Everything is wonderful! Your place is lovely and the location is incredible. We spent the day touring the island and getting acquainted. Mali was very helpful and very sweet. Thank you for all the great information, especially the three ring notebook. We have found it invaluable - and it's only Sunday. Looking forward to a wonderful time. Thank you!!

Had a great time in Aruba. A month is perfect. We enjoyed the view and the beautiful sunsets. The back of the island is a must to see. It is so different "wild" back there. Loved the caves, goats and wild donkeys. Best places to eat!! Old Man and the Sea - ask for Rachel. Mirandi - ask for Luke DeliFrance and Pancake House
